Check and make sure the filter press/the whole filter press systemis operated under safe working sequence.

Plunger pump repair

 

In order to guarantee normal operation of plunger pump, Leo filter press ask every plunger pump users to take down the following items:

a. Please use clean hydraulic oil, please filter hydraulic oil every month and change hydraulic oil every three months

b. Pump should not be stared or work if no cooling water feeding into the pump, in order to prevent ceramic plunger breakage and rubber gasket damage due to overheat or overcool suddenly. Besides ,the cooling water also can be used in ceramic cleaning to prolong plunger and gasket service time

Plunger pump installation instructions
Put the plunger pump on the foundation bed, measure horizontal adjustment, fasten plunger pump stand with anchor bolts(or not) in order to replace hydraulic oil and clean slurry feeding pipings, pump should be raise for 10cm higher than the ground, drainage for filtrate should be arranged around the pump foundation.

Filter Press Using Report Filter Cake Moisture content

 

The problem the beverage producers then faced was how to dewater the sludge that was created.  Various alternatives, such as sludge drying beds, belt filter presses and recessed chamber presses were considered.  Representative samples of the sludge were created by simulating the chemical treatment of several hundred gallons of typical wastewater.  These samples were sent to the Leo Filter Press’s lab, in China The oil and grease content in the sludge inhibited effective dewatering, but the combination of pH control and a high molecular weight polymer created good flocculation of solids and effective dewatering was possible.

Based on these results, those beverage producers elected to purchase several recessed chamber filter presses to dewater the sludge generated by the chemical treatment of their average wastewater flow of 750,000 gpd. The technicians at Siemens Water Technologies worked closely with beverage producer operating personnel doing on-site test work with full automatic PLC control.

The filtration is carried out by the pressure produced by the feeding pump.
